Ray and Leigh Stevens have been married since 2001. Ray has worked in the financial and accounting arena for over 9 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Leigh is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and is pursuing her medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Jacksonville State University and a Master of Biological Science with a specialization in nurse anesthesia from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT. Leigh has served as a medical mission team member to India and Kenya throughout her career. She has served on the Board of Directors for both the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Kenyarelief.org. The Stevens are currently sponsor parents to Kevin Chacha, an orphan at Marindi’s Childrens Home of Grace in Migori, Kenya. The Stevens are beginning the adoption process to expand their family. QUIN T. CHRISTIAN, Netherland Antilles; Board Member

Quin was born in Amsterdam, Holland. He received his Master's Degree in Accounting in Holland and currently resides in Sint Maarten, Netherland Antilles. Quin's global presence and ability to speak 3 languages fluently (Dutch,English,Spanish) gives OCH a perspective unlike any other. Quin has a twin sister and a younger brother both currently living in Curacao, N.A. with his mother. Quin works for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and is active within his community helping those in need.
Beckie Stewart

Beckie is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute with diploma in Communications with a journalism emphasis. Beckie runs a women's ministry in her church called, "Women of Grace". Beckie also participates in Faith Writers and Adoption Writers. Beckie is married to Joseph Stewart, a pastor. They have five wonderful children (three boys and two girls). The Stewart's adopted their youngest daughter from Kazakhstan. “The experience of adopting has taught me the depth of the Lord's love for me and has left me yearning to see the children left behind find their families. From the depths of my heart, I want others to understand adoption into the family of God, and then reach out to orphans and parents around the world." ~Beckie.

Rutland's

Jud and Pam Rutland have been married since 1998. The couple met while attending Jacksonville State University. Jud and Pam each hold a B.S. degree in Exercise Physiology from JSU and Pam also holds an M.S.Ed in special education. Pam is a special education teacher at Johnson Elementary School in Rome, Georgia and is also working towards her Education Specialist degree at Linclon Memorial University in Tennessee. Jud is currently a sales engineer for Star Electric in Alpharetta, Georgia. Jud and Pam are the proud parents of Julia and Sam. Julia loves ballet and playing dress up, while Sam loves anything to do with baseball, basketball, football and Thomas the Train. The Rutlands became very interested in adoption at the onset of fertility issues. Julia was conceived after several "procedures"due to infertility; while their son Sam was born in their hearts. He was adopted from the great state of Alabama. Adoption has been a wonderful experience in their lives. The Rutlands are very active within their church where Jud serves as a deacon. They are very grateful for the adoption experience God placed in their own lives. They are both very passionate about helping other families with the adoption process and look forward to helping families realize their dreams through adoption.

David and Pepper Wooten  

DAVID & PEPPER WOOTEN, Florida; Board Members

David and Pepper Wooten live in Ormond Beach, Florida and have three teenage boys. David has served at Riverbend Community Church as Pastor of Missions and Evangelism since 1990. He graduated from Mid-South Bible College in Memphis with a double major in Psychology and Bible/Theology. He recently completed his Master’s Degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. David’s hearts desire is to know Christ and make Him known. He and Pepper have been married since 1985. Pepper has a Paralegal degree and is pursuing her law degree at Stetson Law School. Her heart's desire is to promote adoption and foster care reform. She is currently a Guardian Ad Litem and a volunteer for Community Partnership for Children and the National Council for Adoption. David and Pepper enjoy spending time with their family, serving in ministry and pursuing Christ. They believe it is God’s desire to set the solitary child in loving godly homes and consider it a great privilege to serve on the board at Our Creator’s Hope. What an honor to help the little ones come to Jesus.

Psalm 68:5-6 Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God settles the solitary in a home.

 

SANDRA HOGUE, Florida; Board Member

Sandra Hogue holds a double masters in Counseling and Social Work and is married to Steve, the Children’s Pastor and Children’s Ministries Director of Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach, FL. Steve and Sandra live in Daytona Beach, FL with their four adopted children, ranging in ages from 3-8. Three of their children were adopted through the foster care system of FL and one was a private domestic adoption. Sandra has a vision to see the body of Christ come together in providing nurturing, loving, Christ-centered homes to foster children. In reaching this goal, Steve and Sandra facilitate foster parenting classes at their church and are available to speak to groups, bringing awareness of the need to help the abused, neglected, orphaned and fatherless.
